General Questions
1. When and where is the festival?
The festival will take place on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ebster Courtyard at Beacon Municipal Center (404 W Trinity Place, Decatur, GA).
2. What is the cost of admission?
Tickets are $10 for adults, and children attend for free. All proceeds benefit Asian American Voices for Education.
3. Where can I park?
Free parking is available on the streets of Decatur on Sundays. Additionally, there is plenty of parking in the deck at Trinity and Commerce for your convenience.
4. What activities can I expect?
The festival features:
- Live performances, including a Lion Dance by the Sang Anh Duong Lion & Dragon Dance Team at 3:00 PM
- Cultural booths representing various countries
- A marketplace with local vendors and artisans
- Delicious food from Pan-Asian cuisines
- A family-friendly picnic area (bring your blanket or lawn chairs!)
Liability Waiver
1. Why do I need to agree to a waiver?
The liability waiver ensures that all attendees understand and accept the inherent risks associated with participating in the event. It also helps us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
2. What does the waiver cover?
By attending, you agree to:
- Assume all risks, including those related to physical activities, food consumption, and crowded spaces.
- Release the event organizers, sponsors, and volunteers from liability.
- Allow the use of photos and videos taken during the event for promotional purposes.

Ticketing
1. How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online through eventbrite. A limited number of tickets may also be available at the entrance on the day of the event.
2. What is your refund policy?
All ticket sales are final. In the event of cancellation or postponement, tickets will be honored on the rescheduled date.
Vendor and Volunteer Information
1. How can I become a vendor at the festival?
To apply as a vendor, please fill out the application form. If selected, we will contact you with additional details.
2. How can I volunteer?

Participation Guidelines
1. Are pets allowed?
While we love pets, the event can get crowded, and pets may not be comfortable. Service animals are welcome.
2. Can I bring outside food or drinks?
We encourage you to enjoy the incredible food options available at the event, but you’re welcome to bring your own picnic items to enjoy in the designated picnic area.
3. What should I bring?
- A picnic blanket or lawn chairs for the picnic area
- Comfortable shoes for exploring the festival grounds
- Cash or cards for vendors and food stalls
Illustration Contest
1. What is the Kids’ Illustration Contest?
The contest invites children ages 2 to 18 to submit drawings celebrating the Year of the Snake, featuring characteristics like wisdom, creativity, and charisma.
2. When is the submission deadline?
The deadline is Wednesday, January 15, 2025, to give participants more time to create.
3. How do I submit my child’s entry?
Visit our google form for submission details and guidelines.
4. What happens to the submissions?
All submissions will be displayed at the festival, and attendees will vote for their favorite illustration.
